Security Modules

 

Security Modules grant user access to functionality, often based on the branch of service. The following table describes the Security Modules available and the functionality behind the module. Many of these modules are assignable to Security Profile Setup records that are, in turn, assigned to users through their Personnel Setup.

 

Note

Security Module availability is based on company licensing.

 

The following attributes are referenced when making assignments to Security Profile Setup records.

 

Key

Description

Per Branch

Indicates whether the module must be enabled for each branch (“Yes”) or not (“No”).

Yes indicates branch specific security is enabled, i.e. access to functionality is based on a particular branch. For example, if you didn’t want users to access order data for a branch, then do no create a Security Profile Setup detail record for the Order Information for that branch.

 

No indicates that the functionality is not branch specific and in most cases setting up a single Security Profile Setup detail record enables functionality for all branches. In some cases, such as for the “Job Costing” module, no is Security Profile Setup detail record enables needed; this functionality is automatically available (based on licensing).

 

Full Access

Refers to a setting of “Full” for the Access Type.

Read Only

Refers to a setting of “Read Only” for the Access Type.

Manager Flag

Indicates additional privileges granted to the user when the Allow Manager Privileges flag is set.

 

 

Security Module

Description

Administration

Allow user access to most functionality including Order Information, Local Dispatch, Long Distance Dispatch, Revenue Entry, and Payment Management.

Advance Management

Allow users to access the Advance Management screen allowing users to view, add, and void advances for drivers in the Local Dispatch and Long Distance Dispatch modules.

Manager Flag:
