SalesTrak Periodic Procedures

The following information will provide help with various periodic procedures in SalesTrak.

Create Customers from Prospects

When the move is won, you can quickly create a customer record from the existing prospect record. The new customer record will use the information from the prospect record to create the new record. Changes to the customer record can be made through the Accounts Receivable module.

Create Orders from Prospects

If the SalesTrak module is interfaced with the Order Entry module, you can create a new order from the prospect record. The order will use the information contained in the prospect record to create the order. Changes to the new order can be made through the Order Entry module.

Selecting Prospects

Selection files are groupings of prospects based on information that has been entered in prospect entry and appointment scheduling. These selections can be used when printing contact lists for salespeople, and when viewing prospects in prospect entry.  For example:  assume you have a salesperson traveling to a specific city for a day and he would like a list of prospects in the vicinity he can call on. A selection file can be created that uses the zip code or area code as the selection criteria. Once the group is created, it can then be re-sorted as needed.

As with prospect entry and appointment scheduling, selections can be made for an individual salesperson or for all salespeople. If an individual salesperson is selected, then only prospects that are already assigned to that salesperson will be eligible for selection.
