Account Profile Setup and Administration

 

The following is a list of setup areas related to Account Profiles.

 

Before you begin…

The following is a suggested order of initial setup of the Account Profile system.

1.    Create Account Setup and Customer Setup records (using Microsoft Dynamics GP), if needed

2.    Create a list of services and supported status for the services, then create Account Profile Service Status Setup and then Account Profile Service Setup records

3.    Create a list of accounts, account contacts, and order defaults desired. Create Account Profile Setup records

4.    Update Security Profile Setup records for personnel to access Account Profile functionality

5.    If utilizing the Monitor Orders Service, then view this topic for additional setup areas needed

 

Setup Area

Description

Account Setup

Use this setup to define accounts assignable to the profile through the Account field in Account Profile Setup.

Account Profile Service Setup

Define the list of services available to a profile within this setup.

Account Profile Service Status Setup

Define the values available to users when the set the service status within Account Profile Setup and when overriding services through Service Override.

Account Profile Setup

Define profiles and default data assignable to orders for commonly referenced accounts using this setup.

Monitor Orders Service

If you company wants to have personnel notified when key changes affect an account order, then additional setup is needed in the following:

Database Mail Setup

Email Services Setup and Administration

SMTP Setup

 

Security Profile Setup (Account Profiles)

Define user access to the Account Profile tab through this setup.
