MSCrew Contractor Options

It’s important before you begin updating administration options to understand how you wish to utilize MSCrew for your contract labor. The following are some options to consider when determining how to define the contractors:

Keep contractor and their crew outside of MSCrew.

You can choose not to include contractor teams within MSCrew (or MoversSuite). This requires no maintenance within administration or MoversSuite, but you would be unable to utilize MSCrew to share job details and information with this crew nor track these people within dispatching.

Define a single contractor to manage MSCrew.

You can define each contractor - or member of their crew - as an individual that is assigned to jobs. Communication would be limited to just the one point of contact (the crew lead) and they would be able to manage jobs through MSCrew while separately tracking the crew outside of the app. This approach would be ideally suited for a company that hires an outside team to assist on jobs but doesn’t want the overhead of managing that team. See MSCrew Contractor Personnel Setup and MSCrew Contractor MoversConnect Setup for this option. Also see MSCrew Contractor Use for instruction on how Contactors should use MSCrew.

Set up the entire contractor team to use MSCrew.

If you wish to have the entire contractor team using MSCrew, then you could define each role or person as a crew member or lead and grant them access to app. There would still need to be one person defined as crew lead to manage that job or jobs. This options enables all crew using the app to able to see their job assignments and other important details. It also makes communication between the team more streamlined. See MSCrew Contractor Personnel Setup and MSCrew Contractor MoversConnect Setup for this option. Also see MSCrew Contractor Use for instruction on how Contactors should use MSCrew.
