Claim Type to Claim Denial Code Map Setup

MoversSuite Administration > Claims > Claim Type to Claim Denial Code Map

This setup area maps a Claim Type to a Claim Denial Code.

Establish the options available within Denial Code dropdown in the Add Claim Item screen within this setup. Specifically, use this setup to associate the Decline Code dropdown menu options with a particular Claim Type. When mapped, only the Denial Code options associated to a Claim Type through this setup will be available in the Decline Code field in Claim Detail.

 In the image below, the dropdown menu within Decline Code lists the options that are mapped to the Claim Type set on the claim.

Looking at the Add Claim Item > Decline Code option set above, the Decline Code set is “Packed by Owner.” Within the Claim Detail, the Claim Type was set as “HHG” (according to our setup). It is easy to see this Claim Type within the Claim grid as shown within Figure 73.

For this example, Claim Type to Claim Denial Code Map Setup record for that “Packed by Owner” option is the one shown in Figure 74. This record shows that for the Claim Type “HHG Claim,” the option Packed by Owner will show within the Add Claim Item > Denial Code dropdown.

To map another Claim Type to Claim Denial Code Map, create a record as follows:

1.    Review the Claim Denial Code Setup to make sure the Denial Code record exists. If not, create one using instructions within Claim Denial Code Setup.

2.    At the top of the Claim Type to Claim Denial Code Map Setup screen, use Click here to add new Claim Type to Claim Denial Code Map.

3.    Enter the Description. This is the name of record and the name of the option that will list in the Denial Code dropdown.

4.    Enter the Van Line Code for the Description.

5.    Click Add to save.
