Preferred Revenue Agent Setting

The Preferred Revenue Agent setting has two purposes: (1) provides a means of identifying a division through the agent assigned to an order, and (2) restricts which type of agent is available to be commissioned based on revenue group or item code.

When Divisions is in use, MoversSuite will identify the division to be set for transaction processing through the type of agent assigned to the item code or revenue group.  If the preferred agent is “Booking,” for example, then the application will check the Booking Agent set in the Agents tab and use the Division value set for the agent.

Commissionable Employees can be restricted from auto commissions by setting the Preferred Revenue Agent to Booking, Origin, Hauling, or Destination on an Item Code, which works in conjunction with the Auto Commission Option Setup to determine which labor types are eligible to have commissions automatically created when generating transactions.  MoversSuite checks the Preferred Revenue Agent setting at the Item Code level first, then, if not set there, the Revenue Group setting is checked.  When the Preferred Revenue Agent option is not set at either level then all Commissionable Employees become eligible for auto commission.
