The Rate Matrix is an Advanced Rating system that computes a rate based on the following order information:
Cubic Feet
Linear Feet
Miles
Weight
The Rate Matrix Setup defines the rating by setting coordinates using one or more of the above fields. The value at which point the two coordinates intersect is the rate returned. The application will return a particular rate based on the number of Miles and the Weight of the order, for example.
Users will know when an Advanced Rating is in effect by an ellipses button next to the computed rate.

Pressing this button will open the Edit Advanced Rating Basis screen allowing the user to make on-the-fly adjustments to the rating attributes.
