Jonas publishes releases of Enterprise BI automatically through the Task Scheduler loaded on to your system. Your company can control which version is referenced through system settings. The following information provides details on where Enterprise BI files exist for each release along with key settings and log files as well.
NOTE: Find instructions on how to see what version your system in on and how to change versions by referring to the EnterpriseBI Environment Variables section, located at the bottom of this topic.
EnterpriseBI Files
There are two main repositories utilized by MoversSuite customers for the BI Tool:
|
Repositories |
Description |
|
All MoversSuite customers should have Enterprise BI pointing to this repository. This is considered the most stable, tested release published. | |
|
At times it may be suggested that user point to a Staging Release in order to get the latest changes sooner than waiting until the release is published to Production. Refer to the “JonasRepo” setting in the EnterpriseBI Environment Variables section below for more information. |
NOTE:
There is also a Demo Release that may be available at times.
Within each of the above folders are subfolders and corresponding executables:
|
Folder |
Key File |
|
EnterpriseBI |
EnterpriseBISetup.YY.Q.N.NNN.exe This is the key executable that runs the Enterprise BI application. The version number of the above file reflects within the application, e.g., “EntpriseBISetup.25.1.1.1228.exe”. |
|
JonasBrowser |
JonasBrowserSetup.YY.Q.N.NNN.exe This is a service ran through Microsoft Windows Services, e.g., “JonasBrowserSetup.25.1.1.345.exe”. |
|
WebServer |
WebServerSetup.YY.Q.N.NNN.exe This is a service ran through Microsoft Windows Services, e.g., “WebServerSetup.25.1.1.427.exe”. |

EnterpriseBI Environment Variables
The following are available through the Advanced System Settings on the application service hosting EnterpriseBI.
|
Variable |
Description |
|
JonasRepo |
Set to “stg” for the Staging Release or “demo” to point to a demo system. If this variable is not set, then the application references the Production Release. |
|
JonasAccountCode |
This is client account code (for e.g., "EWS-VICTORIA") and it is added automatically during the WebServer installation. |
|
JonasBIPath |
Added upon each installation and upgrade. This references the installation path for BI Tool and is hard-coded. |
|
JonasTemplateRunnerUtility |
This variable is added automatically during a WebServer install and does not impact EnterpriseBI. |
|
JonasDocumentPath |
Internal variable added automatically during an install. It references the physical document location for documents created through EnterpriseBI. |
To check or set any of the above settings, access the Environment Variables on the application server:
1. From the Windows Search, type in Advanced System Settings to open the System Properties dialog.
2. Open the Advanced tab (this is often done automatically).
3. Click on Environment Variables.
4. In the System Variables section, scroll to review any “Jonas” variable set.
5. With appropriate privileges you can edit these to set new values, such as setting the “JonasRepo” to “Production” to ensure that Enterprise BI is pointing to the latest official release or set to “stg” for the Staging Release.
