Web Administration changes coming in Spring 2009
With each release comes new administration tasks and the Spring 2009 release is no different. We have added seven new administration screens to our Web Admin tool so far for the spring release. These screens are directly related to the Mover’s Suite product changes I’ve discussed in my previous blog entries.
With these new screens we are also trying out a slightly different concept. With the new screens we are employing a mass edit grid that allows you to edit several items at once. The grid is always in edit mode and you always know what changes you have made because as you make changes the field are highlighted yellow. Once changes are saved the highlighting is removed. If errors are encountered during the save process, all valid changes to the grid are saved and the values in error remain highlighted so you know exactly what could not be saved.
Depending on your feedback this concept will slowly be applied to older administration screens where the concept is compatible with the data to be administered.
The first screen added is the administration screen for Auto Make.

As always I’m open to your feedback. Let me know what you think.
