Windows XP and Server 2003 Support Ended

Microsoft’s mainstream support for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 ended 4/14/2009 and 7/13/2010 respectively, which means that besides security issues, no other bug fixes or enhancements have or will be made to the OS as of that date.

Additionally, the latest version of the software tools we use to build MoversSuite no longer support Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Thus, although we don’t know exactly where any problems may occur, we cannot guarantee that the 4.30 version of MoversSuite is compatible with those operating systems.

We do our best to balance providing the fiscal conservativeness of supporting older operating systems with the ability to take advantage of the latest technology to improve our products. Given the timing of Windows’ End of Lifecycle mainstream support, coupled with our software tools, we’ve decided it has finally come time to tip the scale on supporting XP and Server 2003.

In the same breath, we’re excited we can announce MoversSuite 4.30 support for all of the latest Microsoft technologies: SQL Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8.

Happy holidays! This is the time of year for lots of holiday preparations and financial end of year procedures. There are clips on our website on the Tutorials Page for Year-End Close, Process 1099s, and Payroll Year-End Close among many others. Some of them are from prior years but they are still valid.

The 2012 payroll year-end service pack is available and someone in your company should have already received an email if you are using Dynamics GP for payroll. Please review the clips and let us know if you have any questions.

MoversSuite 4.4 Released!

We are excited to release MoversSuite 4.4. This release contains the following new features:

Support of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010
An upload to UniGroup’s Quotes to Go program
A complete redesign of Reductions in Revenue Entry
Clear and Decline of Multiple Service at the same time in Local Dispatch
Multiple select and change of status on claim items
Default of the authority on an order at the time of booking, or order creation from a download
Added email to the Lead Screen
Customer is now required on all Revenue Entry items
Revenue Import allows the user to choose the customer to import transactions for
AR Branch is now displayed on each item in Revenue Entry
Dynamics GP Inquiry now includes the branch on both tabs
Transdocs users can now upload PDF documents
